They opened on the auspicious day of 2008.08.08, and we dropped in the day after. It's obvious that they're new when some of the waitstaff seem a little unsure of themselves. But no matter, the food was quite good, standard dimsum fare. I'm surprised they didn't trot out any of the 烧腊 Chinese roasts on display at their takeaway next door.
The only standout dish was the 千层糕 Thousand Layer Cake, with the soft pillowy layers of cake, creamy custard filling with the occasional burst of 咸蛋黄 salted egg yolk and the crunch of the 糖冬瓜 candied winter melon. Quite good indeed.
Their dinner and Chinese roasts are probably worth a try too.
